This discrepancy results in higher confidence in AI’s ability to enhance creativity and improve performance among seasoned professionals compared to those newer to the field.

For those who understand AI’s broader applications, its many benefits are clear. Marketers who use AI tools report various advantages, such as improved content quality, saved time, and enhanced collaboration.

According to the Lightricks and AMA research, 52% of marketers said AI improved content quality, 50% reported time savings, and 49% saw improvements in content volume. Additionally, 39% said AI helped boost team collaboration.

These findings show how AI, including generative tools, can give content creators a powerful boost. AI can assist in brainstorming, creating blog outlines, or personalizing content for different audiences. Image and video-based AI tools help creators produce high-quality visuals that might otherwise be out of budget.

AI also helps content creators analyze data, define their target audiences, and conduct research—leading to more relevant and personalized content. By understanding their audiences better, content creators can deliver the right message at the right time.

The ability to create higher-quality content more efficiently and at lower costs will change the landscape of content creation. For example, in 2024, indie music artist Washed Out created a music video entirely using the AI tool Sora. The director, Paul Trillio, had envisioned the concept of an “infinite zoom” for years but never thought he could pull it off. Thanks to AI, he was able to bring his creative vision to life.

While there are some concerns about AI taking over certain aspects of content creation, the reality is that most AI applications today are designed to enhance and optimize the work of content professionals. In fact, many content creators are already using AI tools without realizing it.

As understanding of AI’s capabilities grows, more content professionals will recognize the unique ways AI can improve their operations. With its ability to streamline processes, enhance creativity, and improve efficiency, AI has the potential to revolutionize the content creation industry, allowing professionals to unlock their full potential and produce more exciting, innovative work.
