Rebura, a cloud consultancy specializing in AWS cloud migrations and modernizations across the UK, Nordics, and Central Europe, has been acquired by global technology distributor Westcon-Comstor.
Founded in 2017 and based in London, Rebura helps companies of all sizes build and optimize their apps and workloads on AWS, enhancing productivity, scalability, cost efficiency, and security.
As a fully accredited AWS advanced service partner, Rebura holds seven AWS competencies, including migration, Microsoft workloads, and DevOps.
Westcon-Comstor, which connects major IT vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike with a global network of technology resellers, systems integrators, and service providers, operates in over 70 countries with more than 3,500 employees worldwide. In the fiscal year ending February 28, 2023, Westcon-Comstor posted a record revenue of US $3.42 billion, a growth of 18.3% year on year.
By acquiring Rebura, Westcon-Comstor aims to enhance its cloud capabilities and allow its channel partners to offer a variety of AWS solutions, including cloud consultancy, migration services, FinOps, AWS Marketplace expertise, and security-aligned professional services.
After the acquisition, Westcon-Comstor will gradually roll out Rebura’s consulting services. Rebura will remain a separate entity and serve as the core of Westcon-Comstor’s AWS business.
The acquisition follows a period of strong organic growth for Westcon-Comstor, with double-digit revenue increases over the past two years. It represents a strategic shift in their growth strategy, focusing on targeted acquisitions.
David Grant, CEO of Westcon-Comstor, highlighted that migrating workloads to the cloud and maintaining security resilience are among the biggest challenges for businesses today. He emphasized that many channel partners lack the AWS migration and security expertise needed to support their customers, which is why this acquisition is a great opportunity. With Rebura, partners will now have access to these capabilities as part of a comprehensive offering.
